My dad had had two surgeries here to remove the tumors in his bladder.  His doctor, Dr. Yun, was phenomenal.  The nurses were all very friendly, attentive and competent.  I never felt that my dad was not getting the best care.  And, my mother and I were always kept up-to-date with what was going on...very important when you're the worrying relative in the waiting room.

My dad was a trauma patient after a serious fall and spent almost a week in ICU.  The ICU nurses were phenomenal and were right there for him.  I also really like the neurologist who saw my dad and gave him a serious lecture on accepting his disabilities and using the appropriate equipment to compensate for it. Something my dad got pissy about, but he needed to hear it since he wasn't listening to his family.
Some people get offended when doctors and nurses stop sugar coating things and tell you bluntly and directly what you don't want to hear... get your diabetes under control or you will die, get your blood pressure under control, lose weight, you are obese. They don't do it to be mean, it is because you need to hear it. These are the staff members I like and Riverside had quite a few of them; less worried about making the patient feel warm and cuddly and more interested in the patient taking care of their health.
